Brown Sugar Fruit Dip

I love a good fruit dip. Especially with the holiday season upon us, a savory, sweet, salty caramel flavored dip really hits the spot. This dip is a crowd pleaser in my family for both the adults and the kids as a thanksgiving appetizer. Its so simple to make and tastes like a creamy salted caramel dip.

Ingredients:

  • 2 (8-ounce) blocks cream cheese

  • 1 Cup brown sugar

  • 4 Tablespoons sugar

  • 2 Teaspoons vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional Garnishes: Toffee bits, caramel sauce, more brown sugar, or mini chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Allow your cream cheese to soften on the kitchen counter for 4 hours. This ensures your dip will be smooth and not lumpy.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, brown sugar, sugar, vanilla, and salt.

  3. Use a hand mixer to beat and combine the ingredients. Beat until all sugar crystals are dissolved.

  4. Transfer to a dish with lid and allow to chill in the fridge for 2-4 hours (or overnight).

  5. Serve with a variety of snacks for dipping: freshly sliced apples, gluten free pretzels, Honey Teddy Grahams, Scooby Snack Grahams, graham crackers, marshmallows, pound cake, or other fresh fruits.

Keeps well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
